Microsort Sperm Separation – An Effective But Costly Way to Conceive a Girl

If you really want to give yourselves the best chance of conceiving a girl then the technique that is generally agreed to be the most effective is the Microsort Sperm separation method. The procedure known as the Xsort (for producing a girl rather than a boy) has a whopping 91% success rate (better than the Ysort, for boys, which runs at about 76%)
Put in the simplest terms the Xsort technique separates X sperm from Y sperm using a method called flow cytometry. Once the sperm sample has been separated like this a woman is treated either by artificial insemination (IUI) or in-vitro fertilization (IVF) depending upon her personal history.
Even this sorting process is not perfect though. A sorted sperm sample designed to help a couple achieve their goal of conceiving a girl on average still contains about 10% Y sperm. Although this still means the odds of conceiving a girl are drastically improved over nature it is still by no means a guarantee. And of course, this is a very expensive procedure and because of ethics questions (is gender selection against nature and/or God) only a handful of clinics offer it for family planning purposes.
